I recently took up running and have been able to secure a place to run the Bournemouth Half Marathon in October this year, to help raise funds for Dorset County Hospital (DCH).

DCH has played a huge part in me making it this far, something for which my wife, my daughter and I shall always be thankful for. Firstly in 2008 when I had a severe systemic anaphylactic shock and more recently in 2019 when a spinal trauma (caudal equina) led to an 8 day stay, with a brief interlude at New Hall for surgery. Without DCH I would either no longer be here (2008) or in a wheelchair (2019).

Over the coming weeks and months you'll see me plodding around Moreton, Dorchester and Weymouth on various training runs. Feel free to toot, wave, shout encouragement and just generally abuse me along the way.
