Story
I’m joining Shout’s campaign to Move for Mental Health.
This Mental Health Awareness Week, people around the UK will be moving for their mental health, all while fundraising for Shout - the UK’s only free, confidential, 24/7 text messaging support service for anyone struggling to cope.
As a Shout volunteer, I've seen first-hand the difficulties people using the service are facing on a daily basis - and therefore how important the service is. That's why I've decided to fundraise to help keep the service free and accessible to anyone who needs it.
As someone who is typically inactive, I'm aiming to walk 70,000 steps during Mental Health Awareness Week - that's more than double my average of 30,000 steps per week - while raising funds to support Shout's vital services.
By donating to my fundraising page, you’ll be supporting the thousands of children, young people and adults who text Shout every day with issues including suicidal thoughts, anxiety, depression, abuse, bullying and self-harm.
Thank you!
