Story
The Connollys have set ourselves a challenge and we need your support!
We are raising money for a Tunbridge Wells based charity, KentRelief.
Since February 2022, KentRelief have sent over 150 tonnes of humanitarian aid to areas of need in Ukraine including food, medical aid, firefighting equipment and many other essential items.
KentRelief are currently tirelessly working to ensure the next lorry of aid can leave Tunbridge Wells to deliver much needed aid directly at the end of March/early April.
Between Al, Helen, Ella and James, we are virtually cycling and walking every mile of the 1,250mile equivalent distance by road from Tunbridge Wells to Lviv, Ukraine - covering the distance on our exercise bike, treadmill and pavements of Tunbridge Wells. We are doing this to raise vital funds for humanitarian aid and the associated overheads that allow the charity to keep going with the excellent work and make such deliveries possible.
We will begin our virtual challenge on 18th March, and fuelled by your donations, intend to ‘arrive’ by 30th April.
KentRelief relies on the efforts of volunteers to run the Humanitarian Aid Hub in Tunbridge Wells and the KentRelief charity shop based in Royal Victoria Place, Tunbridge Wells. As well as the direct donation of much needed items to the Hub, funds to make these humanitarian aid deliveries are raised through donations and the income from the shop - times are tough and we want to support.
Every bit of support you can give is much needed and so appreciated.
Thank you,
Al, Helen, Ella and James
