2 years ago I was privileged to cycle the length of Wales as part of the Penarth Lawn Tennis Club fundraising activities for Velindre Hospital in memory of much loved club members who had been taken by this awful disease.
In a months time, I will be doing another cycling challenge as part of the tennis clubs 2024 fundraising activities for the Motor Neurone Disease Association Cardiff Branch, We will also be remembering another much loved club member Jeff Muse, who sadly succumbed to this awful illness during Covid, but always with a smile on his face and with time for others. Starting in Machynlleth, I will ride the newly opened (2023) Traws Eryri off-road trail through the Snowdonia National Park. Covering 200+km and 4000m of climbing on tracks, over moors and mountains and through forests, this will be a breathtakingly beautiful experience but will certainly challenge my stamina and riding ability.
