On 20th March 2026, I’ll be joining a team of 12 brave volunteers (Adam Thomson, Greg Will, Dawn MacDougall, Stephen Bain, Shona Campbell, David Archibald, Fiona Morgan, Andy Niblock, Kimberley Thomson, Andrew Davis & Heather Davis) to climb the 82 ft mast of the RRS Discovery, Dundee’s world famous polar expedition ship. We’re taking on this challenge to support our client the Dundee Heritage Trust and their vital mission to preserve Discovery for the next 100 years.

This climb also marks a personal milestone for me, as I celebrate my retirement as a Partner at Henderson Loggie. It felt fitting to mark the occasion by helping safeguard a ship that has inspired generations, and continues to be one of Dundee’s proudest icons.

Every donation, big or small, truly makes a difference. Thousands of visitors, school groups, and community organisations step aboard Discovery each year. Your support will help ensure it remains a place of wonder, learning, and inspiration for the next generation.
