The Long Cross Border Coastal Walk : 5th -12th May 2023

Lewy body dementia is the second most common cause of age-related dementia, affecting around 130,000 people in the UK. We raise awareness of the disease, provide information to patients and carers, and fund research so that in future it can be more easily diagnosed and treated.

Story

A few short weeks ago I lost a good friend Justin who had been living with Lewy Body Dementia. While his health permitted we enjoyed many walks (and lunches) around East Lothian, his favourite being the beach walks in North Berwick, the place he and his wife Jan settled in a few years ago from the North East of England.

By way of remembrance and to help research into Lewy Body Dementia which in Jan's own words "is a brutal disease, which is unpredictable, rapid and devastating", I will be walking the Northumberland and Berwickshire coastal paths from Cresswell to North Berwick - some 115 miles.

Your support however large or small, will be greatly appreciated and make my time on the road that much easier.

Thank You.
