Story
By taking part in this 17.5 mile Coast Walk I'm helping to raise much needed funds for The Feed, who run various projects that help the community eat well, live well, and feel connected.
In Norfolk, 1 in 3 children are growing up in poverty and malnutrition rates, at 6.7%, are among the highest in the UK.
The Feed runs a social supermarket which offers free and low-cost healthy food to anyone in need.
Additionally, they offer community programmes such as
- First Steps: connecting hub members to crucial services like housing support, debt advice, and mental health resources.
- Cook, Eat, Grow: a hands-on class teaching budget-friendly, healthy cooking skills every fortnight.
- Bloom: a 10 session programme for women, ran by women, aimed to boost wellbeing, reduce isolation and increase employability skills.
The Feed is making a difference. You can find their most recent impact report here: https://thefeed.org.uk/impact/reports
They run cafes and a catering enterprise to support their work which, at the same time, provide employment and skills training for those trying to get back into the work force. But with funding cutbacks and increasing costs, it's not enough.
Thank you for supporting this critical cause.
