Story
Last year I challenged myself to cycle 20 laps of the Potholm in one day ( A 5 mile loop from the Kilngreen in Langholm ). I started at 6am on Friday the 5th of July and finished just after 5pm. This year I am planning to do as many laps as I can in a 24 hour period. Starting at midnight on Saturday the 21st of June. Which is the longest day - I'm pretty sure it will be for me. I will be stopping during the time period to refuel etc.
In partnership with Yarns to Yearn for, our plan is for every £1 donated your name gets added to a square on our poster(s) each poster has 250 numbered squares ascending to whatever number we can reach. So if you donate £10 your name will be randomly added 10 times to the poster wall. After the Challenge is complete, we will draw 1 number and whoever has that number will win a Large limited edition Doddie Tartan Bear.
When donating please make sure to share contact information that way an email or contact number can put with your name on the poster wall. Or drop an email to yarnstoyearnfor@gmail.com
The large bears are limited to 15 and are almost gone. Doddie was given bear number 1 back in 2020. Others have been auctioned, raffled etc. all in aid of the My Name's Doddie Foundation.
Yarns to Yearn for has also had a few smaller bears made recently. The second number drawn will one of these bears. We know that this is a lot to ask but we have another 5 small bears available, that if a donation of £150 was received this would secure one of these bears.
We will try and add a few more images when ready.
