My Last Big Challenge for the MS Community - London Marathon 2025

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
as this is Marthon Eve I thought I would place one more update to thank everybody for the amazing generosity shown in smashing the target I initially had. It is truly humbling to have witnessed the pledges from people, in the contributions however large or small are all making a massive difference to taking on this disease and helping others that are in a worse state than I am. Today I took a trip out to Hyde Park and had the pleasure of meeting Evans who is a truly inspirational person and I thank him for working together with professionals to deliver the book 119 days to go which I have used to get me in some form of fitness to get round this thing.

In 2002, I received life-changing news: I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). It was just after completing one of the proudest achievements of my life—cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats. At the time, I had no idea how deeply MS would impact my life or how much it would challenge me in the years to come.
Now, more than two decades later, I feel like I’m facing my next big challenge: running a marathon. With symptoms that affect my legs and feet, I know this could very well be my last opportunity to take on such a demanding goal. But I’m determined to do it—not just for myself, but for the entire MS community.
Living with MS is tough, but I’ve been lucky to have incredible support from my family, friends, and my company, eQ Technologic (www.1eq.com), who have generously agreed to match every pound I raise. Knowing that I’m not alone in this journey gives me the strength to keep going, even when the training gets hard.
This marathon is my way of giving back to the MS community, which has given me so much strength and inspiration over the years. The funds raised will help provide vital resources, support, and research that can make a real difference in the lives of so many people living with MS.
I need your help to make this dream a reality. Whether you’re able to donate or simply share my story, every bit of support will go a long way. Together, we can help ensure that no one with MS has to face this condition alone.
Thank you for standing with me on this journey.
