Colchester Foodbank is a charity operating in the Colchester area to help people who are experiencing food poverty caused by a short term financial crisis.

Story

Alan passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on 7th September 2024, aged 58.

Much loved partner to Cathryn, son of the late Bob and Katharine, brother to David & Julian. He will be greatly missed by all his Family & Friends

Alan was Colchester born and bred and very well known for his involvement with Scouting & CAMRA, a well as his love of live Music.

Along with his Partner Cathryn he started volunteering at Re:Focus who have partnered with Colchester Foodbank, during lockdown. (Re:Focus offers free craft packs to children and adults to promote creativity and improve mental health.) Alan believed in what the foodbank does for our local community and was strongly interested in taking up a voluntary role with the foodbank once he retired. For someone so interested in promoting local businesses, local bands and local charities it is fitting that any donations be for the Colchester Foodbank.

Funeral service to be held at Colchester Crematorium on Wednesday 23rd October 2024 at 11.30am By request, family flowers only please.
