Story

Fit at 40! Taking on Slieve Donard! ⛰️💪

On Saturday 3rd October, I’m taking on Northern Ireland’s highest peak in aid of Air Ambulance NI! ⛰️

Standing at 2,789 ft, Slieve Donard is the highest of the Mourne Mountains and, having never done anything like this before, I’m sure I’ll be questioning my life choices somewhere on the way up! 🙈

This challenge is all part of my Fit at 40 journey. I’m on a mission to get fitter and stronger for my 40th birthday next July, and so far I’ve tried everything from sea swimming, hot yoga classes to charity truck pulls and strongman competitions. So naturally, climbing a mountain seemed like the next logical step! 💪😂

But while I’m pushing myself out of my comfort zone, I’d love to do a little good along the way too. This time I’m raising vital funds for Air Ambulance NI, a local charity which needs £8,200 every single day to deliver lifesaving pre-hospital care to people across Northern Ireland.

If you’d like to support my challenge, any donation, big or small, would be hugely appreciated and will help make all those miles, aching legs and questionable decisions worthwhile! ❤️

Thank you so much for your support, now I just need to make it to the top!
