In Memory of Alan Craik

Craik Family is raising money for ChildLine
In memory of Alan Craik
ChildLine is the UK's free and confidential, 24 hour helpline for children in distress or danger. Trained volunteer counsellors comfort, advise, support and protect children and young people who may feel they have nowhere else to turn. Children call ChildLine about a wide range of problems, but the most common problems are abuse (both sexual and physical), bullying, serious family tensions, worries about friends' welfare and teenage pregnancy. Children and young people can call ChildLine about anything – no problem is too big or too small. ChildLine is a service provided by the NSPCC

Story

Alan died of a sudden, unexpected cardiac arrest in November 2024. We are hoping to honour his memory by collecting funds for Childline.

Childline is a free, confidential service available to children and young people in the UK. Young people can contact Childline 24/7 via phone, online chat, or email. The service aims to listen, empower, and help young people make positive changes while safeguarding them from abuse and neglect.

Alan trained as a Childline counsellor in 2021 and was the person on the end of the phone or online chat for many young people over the 3 and a half years he volunteered with the service. He took great pride in working there and helping in any way he could. He would encourage anyone to support the charity through donation or signing up to be a volunteer.

Thank you on behalf of his family for any donation you are able to make.
