Hello, my name is Alan and I turn 64 in March. In 2010 I had a heart attack which led to two stents, then in 2016 I had an aneurysm in my brain which led to a further two stents. Over the past two years I have lost six stone in weight, with my goal being to lose a further four stone to achieve my target weight.

My fundraising challenge is to swim 20 miles (1300 lengths) in a 25 metre swimming pool over a 12-week period, starting on the 11th March. Please donate what you can! You can either sponsor me per length or mile, or simply make a donation upon the successful completion of my challenge.

In June 2023 my stepson Benjamin died from leukaemia. ELF were an amazing help to us in the last months of his life so I am taking on this fundraising challenge to support their ongoing incredible work for families in Devon affected by blood cancer.
