I want to help raise funds to help young wheelchair users. My younger brother was diagnosed with Perthes disease when he was in primary school. This condition affected his hip, causing him to use a wheelchair for two years. Dad, being the handyman he is, built a ramp for our house, making it easier for my brother to get in and out. He became quite skilled at navigating the wheelchair, even mastering the art of wheelies, despite the teachers at school telling him not to do it as they were worried he would fall backwards.
