Students from the University of Glasgow will be taking part in the Everest Base Camp Challenge to raise money for Amnesty International UK.

Story

I am raising money for Amnesty International UK by taking part in the Everest Base Camp Challenge. In September 2025 I will be trekking to the iconic Everest Base Camp and back down. This is an 11-day trek to significant altitudes (5,645m above sea level).

I am taking part in this amazing opportunity as I have always wanted to see more of the world, and this will allow me to do so while raising money for a great cause. It will allow me to challenge myself, mentally and physically, while making memories and exploring the Himalayas. What’s a better way to do so than taking part in this experience of a lift time? Every single penny donated will go to Amnesty International UK!

Each of us taking part have a goal of £4260 to raise by June 22nd 2025!

Your donations will help Amnesty International UK expose human rights abuses in the UK and all over the world and to campaign for freedom and justice. Amnesty International UK work on a wide range of issues including women's rights, refugee rights, the human rights impact of climate change and in support of individuals whose rights have been violated.
