Story

I’ve been lucky enough to be offered a place in the 2026 London marathon to raise money for the charity I’ve been involved with for what will be 16 years on marathon date.

I’ve been a member of Aberdeen Mountain Rescue team since 2010 and the national medical officer for SMR since 2016.

SMR is a group of volunteers who support the individual volunteer mountain rescue teams who provide a life saving service 24/7/365 regardless of weather. From mountain incidents to community resilience, we have almost 1000 volunteers giving up their free time to be on call every single day of the year.

I am running to raise money to support these teams, provide medical training and support and represent mountain rescue teams in Scotland.

Thank you for reading and donating to this amazing charity.
