The housing crisis is a national emergency. It's estimated that 1.7 million people are impacted by the housing emergency, either trying to get by without a safe place to call home or dealing with damp and mould in poorly kept rental and temporary housing.

Shelter believes that a safe home is a fundamental need and basic moral right, and so do I. That's why I'm joining the fight for home by participating in the Hackney Half Marathon 2026 with "Team Shelter". My fundraising efforts will directly support families and individuals facing homelessness and unfit housing.

I have set a target of £329 to help make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Together, we can advocate for change and provide hope to those struggling with inadequate living conditions.
