Young Epilepsy is dedicated to standing up for children and young people with epilepsy. We’re here for them. But we need your support because epilepsy is limiting the chances of thousands of children today and may continue to do so for the rest of their lives. Together we create possible.

Story

March this year Albie was diagnosed with Epilepsy. This has meant a few things for him have had to change: Albie now takes medication daily in attempt to prevent his seizures; he can no longer climb trees/climbing frames; he can’t swim in unattended water; he’s been prodded and poked and had wires attached to his head; he puts up with us constantly nagging, panicked and our overprotective behaviour. As a family we are forever educating ourselves on the vast and complicated subject of Epilepsy, but one thing we want to do is to turn this into a positive and Albie is up to the challenge. As soon as he found out that there was a run to raise money for Epilepsy, he was in! This Saturday Albie will be running alongside his family to raise money for Young Epilepsy!!

About the Charity -

“We support children and young people across the UK, both from our specialist education, St Piers School and College, in Surrey and in communities around the country through our outreach programmes, Connect and Transitions. With your help we support children and young people, as well as their families, from the point of diagnosis through to transitioning into adulthood. Our helpline provides a lifeline to families and our resources help them to better understand and manage epilepsy.”
