Story
On 27 September I'll be taking on the Berlin Marathon which is one of the most iconic World Marathon Majors. Berlin is part of a longer-term ambition and the first step of seven that I aim a complete.
I'm raising money for the MS Society, a charity I have a huge amount of respect for. It affects over 3 million people worldwide including people close to me. They fund vital research into multiple sclerosis, support those living with the condition, and campaign for better treatments and services. It's a cause well worth running 26.2 miles for.
Running has been a passion of mine since I was young and played a big part in getting me into shape, but university life got in the way and I stepped back from it for a while so this marathon is my reason to get back to it properly. Training has consisted of lots of early mornings, long runs, and gradually building back up after a period away from consistent running.
I'll be running alongside my friend Ronan, who is also raising money for the MS Society. We've been talking about doing a marathon together for nearly 3 years and we're finally making it happen and proud to be doing it for such a great cause.
Any donation, no matter the size, is genuinely appreciated. Thank you
