In March 2024 my nephew Luka was diagnosed with brain cancer (Ependymoma).

Luka is now 6 years old and his battle with cancer continues. Over the past 12 months Luka has had 4 brain surgeries, chemotherapy & radiotherapy. He is currently undergoing lots of physical and cognitive therapy to help him learn to walk and talk again. There’s still such a long way to go but Luka is strong and brave and everyday he’s fighting. He’s so strong and tough and the most amazing boy.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer life becomes full of fear, for them and their family. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelming money worries, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.
