Story
Hello! My name is Alessia. I am 17 years old and I am taking part in an abseiling challenge to raise money and awareness for a charity called NICE – Centre for Movement Disorders. The charity, working with children and adults, is very important for those who have disabilities and neurological movement disorders, as they can learn different techniques that help them understand how to manage and improve their condition which will lead to a better life.
Not only have I always wanted to try abseiling, NICE is an extremely important charity to me. My mum has worked at the charity for over 23 years and this job is very important to both her and me. I have consistently worked and volunteered at different events for NICE, such as their seasonal fairs that happen every winter and summer. Furthermore I have come together with other NICE workers as we stood and supported those running and fundraising for NICE. I hope in the future I can raise money doing other challenges like a half-marathon. I am very excited and thrilled to be signing up to do the NICE Miller Dale Chairty Abseil. Not only can I enjoy a fun activity but I can raise vital funds and awareness for an amazing charity that do so much for communities that need it. It would be very much appreciated if you could donate as little or as much as you can. All donations will go to the charity and the work they do entirely, enabling them to continue to offer services for children and adults with neurological movement disorders.
