Alex Goes Golfing

As many of you know, Alex has had an extremely tough year or so. She suffered from a brain haemorrhage which was caused by an AVM (Arteriovenous malformation) which left Alex in a coma, followed by a 3 month stay at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children. This stay involved recovery, intensive rehabilitation and extreme love, care, compassion and support from all the staff at the hospital. Her full story can be viewed in a short video https://littleheroesni.org/story/alexs-story/
So this year, Alex is embarking on a new challenge. Alex Goes Golfing!! Throughout the summer months Alex will be an proud member of Scrabo Golf Club.
⛳️ Alex will be taking on the challenge of tee-ing off and WALKING the first 9 holes of this beautiful course ⛳️
This will challenge her balance, and it’s her balance that stands in the way of Alex being able to walk independently. From swinging a club, to navigating the terrain, this will be in sync with her physio routines that are designed to continue her recovery.
