Story
My brother and I are embarking on our toughest challenge yet in support of Breast Cancer UK. Our mum was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and she will soon commence her 6-month course of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Our desire to stand with her and support not just our mum, but all those facing this dreadful illness, has inspired us to take on a challenge that will push us to our limits.
Our plan is to run from the northernmost to the southernmost point of the Peak District, covering a total of 57 miles - which coincidentally matches our mum's age! The journey is expected to be fairly gruelling, with over 2,500m of elevation and challenging terrains to conquer. Our target is to complete this run within 12 hours, starting on the 7th of October at 6am. We intend to share the route beforehand, including multiple meeting points where anyone is welcome to join us for any part of the journey they wish.
The Peak District holds a special place in our mum's heart, as she frequently visits this stunning part of the country with friends and family - which happens to be on our doorstep. We'd be incredibly grateful for any donations, big or small, to support Breast Cancer UK's efforts in researching this disease. Every little bit helps, and it'll mean the world to us and everyone fighting breast cancer.
Thank you for your support.
