Highland Trail 550 - 2024 · 25 May 2024

The Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is a volunteer search and rescue organisation based in the Peak District. We rescue hikers, climbers, fellrunners, mountain bikers and the occasional sheep from wild and high places as well as urban searches to assist police in looking for missing people.

Story

I'm excited to announce that I'll be taking on the ultimate mountain biking challenge - the Highland Trail 550 race in May 2024! This grueling race covers 550 miles of the Scottish Highlands, with over 16,000 meters of ascent, and I'm competing to support a cause very close to my heart - the Kinder Mountain Rescue Team.

The Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is a volunteer organisation dedicated to saving lives in the wild and remote areas of the Peak District National Park in England. They provide vital search and rescue services, often in treacherous conditions, and rely entirely on donations to fund their operations.

I'm not just in it for the thrill of the race; I'm also determined to make a difference. My goal is to raise £1000 to support the invaluable work of the Kinder Mountain Rescue Team. Every penny raised will go directly to helping them continue their life-saving efforts.

As an outdoor enthusiast and avid mountain biker, I understand the importance of having skilled and dedicated rescue teams like Kinder Mountain Rescue. Whether it's a lost hiker, injured climber, or distressed cyclist, their swift response can mean the difference between life and death.

I'm reaching out to you, my friends, family, and fellow outdoor enthusiasts, to support me in this endeavor. Your generous donations will not only spur me on during the race but, more importantly, will provide essential funding for Kinder Mountain Rescue Team's ongoing operations.

£10 could provide essential first aid supplies for a rescue mission.

£50 could contribute towards the maintenance of vital rescue equipment.

£100 could help fund specialised training for volunteer team members.

No donation is too small, and every contribution will make a meaningful difference. Together, we can ensure that Kinder Mountain Rescue Team can continue to be there for those in need, 24/7, 365 days a year.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my Highland Trail 550 challenge and for considering supporting Kinder Mountain Rescue Team. Your support means the world to me and will make a real difference in the lives of those who depend on the invaluable services of the rescue team. Let's make every pedal count!
