Story
As a tribute to Bradders — known lovingly by many names — we are organising a charity football match in his memory, raising awareness for Pseudomyxoma peritonei and supporting John Eastwood Hospice.
Sadly Mark lost his battle with Pseudomyxoma peritonei on 31.12.2025 at the young age of 44, leaving behind Maria and 4 beautiful Children.
Mark was the best of us, his kindness, humour, and generosity touched everyone who knew him. He was the heartbeat of the places he lived and worked. He made people feel welcome, valued, remembered, and cared for.
To many, he wasn’t just the friendly face at Bradbury's Deli in Ravenshead; he was part of the rhythm of their day. Whether it was a warm chat, a cheeky joke, or simply his genuine interest in people’s lives, Mark had a way of lifting spirits and making moments better. He listened, he noticed, and he remembered—turning everyday interactions into small acts of kindness.
Friends spoke of him as the life and soul of a room: full of energy, warmth, and that unmistakable smile. From school days and university adventures to football matches, events, and nights out, people recall laughter, mischief, loyalty, and a friend who was always by your side.
In the village, Mark became a pillar—supporting local clubs, schools, charities, and families. Through COVID he was a lifeline: delivering essentials, finding what others couldn’t, helping without hesitation. His shop wasn’t just a business; it was a community in itself, and he made everyone feel like part of it. Even in his toughest moments, he kept his humour, his kindness, and his care for others.
This is a small way of carrying on that Generosity and supporting https://www.johneastwoodhospice.org.uk - to say thank you for the support the hospice gave Mark and his family.
