I am running the 2025 London Marathon because I want to help Meningitis Research Foundation achieve their goal of a world free from meningitis and septicaemia.

Did you know that collectively Meningitis is the second biggest killer of under 5s globally? Did you know Meningitis is the 6th largest infectious disease killer? 230,000 deaths globally per year. Did you know that it affects 2.5 million people a year and 1 in 10 die, with 1 in 5 suffering an impairment? 

I nearly lost my life to Meningitis in 2001. I still feel the impacts today. The slurred word. The slightly dodgy memory. But I am lucky. Many are not. 

So, I am running the London Marathon. I am on a Meningitis mission. It will not be fast. It will not be pretty. But it will be determined.
