Thank you to everyone that has donated to this wonderful charity. It's looking like it will be a wet day tomorrow but raising money for SAA will keep me going.

On 16th December I will be running The Big Xmas Marathon to raise funds for The Society for Abandoned Animals, a local animal charity based by the Bridgewater Canal in Sale.

This year after a long cat life of 20 years we said goodbye to Amber, our beautiful cat companion. She was a good cat, always happy to say hello and share a cuddle. I did not think we would get another furry friend but we visited The Society for Abandoned Animals and fell in love with two kittens, Jack and Penny. They have brought love and life back into our home. Both have their own characters and are cheeky, inquisitive and full of adventure, although admittedly they both enjoy a good nap.

The Society for Abandoned Animals does a fantastic job looking after animals, nursing them when needed and finding them new forever homes.

Although mainly run by volunteers the Society still needs money for the essential work they do.

If you have a pet you know how much they mean to you.

I will be passing the Society, which is located by the Bridgewater Canal, towards the end of my marathon and it will be wonderful to call in and tell them I have reached my target of £500 or even more!
