Alex's fundraiser Running the London Marathon for Hospice UK in memory of my Dad

London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you may know my Dad passed away last October the 30th, 2 years after diagnosis of aggressive prostate cancer. The last month of his life he was looked after by St Michael Hospice in Basingstoke. We are incredibly grateful for all that they did for Dad and us.
The care my Dad received at St Michael's Hospice was excellent, however, half of their funds rely on charitable donations. Unfortunately St Michael’s do not have any London Marathon places this year but are affiliated to Hospice UK . So I would like to raise as much as I can for the the national charity so that St Micheal’s and other hospices’ in the UK can continue their incredible work looking after patient’s end of life care and their families.
I'll be documenting my journey over on Strava (Alex Flanagan) if you want to keep tabs on me! I also think you will be able if u want to track my progress on the day!
So, if you would like to donate money to what I believe is an incredible cause, or just amazed that I am finally looking to do a full marathon! and that’s worth a couple of quid or more. I will be eternally thankful.
Many thanks
