I work in the energy industry. I try to do the right thing but it sometimes feels a bit abstract. We've made a lot of progress increasing the amount of renewable power, but bills are still twice as high as in 2022.

This winter my heating broke. The house was properly cold and miserable for a week until we got it fixed. Meanwhile there are millions of people who can't afford to heat their homes properly. Unlike me, they can't throw money at the problem.
