Story
Last year, 118,000 young people across the UK faced homelessness. This is unacceptable.
That's why this February, alongside Newsquest colleagues across the country, the Newsquest Eastern Counties team will be swapping their beds for a night on the floor to support Centrepoint's vital wraparound services, providing young people with the skills and support they need to build more independent futures.
The Newsquest Eastern County team will have colleagues across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, North Herts and Cambridgeshire taking part to raise funds, with their Sleep Out taking place on Thursday 26 February 2026.
Sleep Out does not intend to replicate homelessness, but instead aims to raise awareness and crucial funds for the thousands of young people who don't have a secure place to call home.
Together, we can say goodnight to youth homelessness.
