I am currently the Caretaker for the Nuneaton & Bedworth District Mencap Society. The building we occupy is over 100 years old and we have been using it for the past 60 years.

The ongoing cost of maintenance issues is incredibly high and we have a long list of repairs and replacement jobs that need to be undertaken urgently. Without this work being carried out, we may have to stop the activities that we provide to our members.

We have nearly 100 members that rely on our activities and events for their socialisation and to prevent loneliness and isolation. With Government funding being reduced in the community for people with mental, physical and learning difficulties we are determined to continue to provide what are can and continue our work.

We are constantly fundraising to try and support the ongoing building maintenance, but any help and support you can give would be greatly appreciated by everyone involved in the running of this Mencap branch.
