Story
From 4pm Thursday 22nd February through to 4pm Friday 22nd February, Pimlico Musical Foundation are fundraising through a 24-Hour non-stop sing through of Mozart’s Requiem.
I will be challenging myself to take part from “bedtime to breakfast” (from approximately 7pm until at least 7am), finishing just in time to get my kids ready for school. It will then be time for a full day of parenting, without any chance of a nap to recover.
My goal is to raise £250 to help fund the incredible work that PMF does in our local community.
Donations are most welcome as they will not only encourage me but also contribute towards ensuring that every child in Pimlico has the chance to experience the joy of music.
Music has the power to enrich every child's life and is fundamental to a high quality, balanced and rounded education. Unfortunately, many children are deprived of this opportunity, with state primary music opportunities in particular being woefully undervalued, underfunded and under-delivered.
That's where PMF comes in. They bridge the gap by providing children with access to extremely high-quality and yet accessible and fun musical educational opportunities both in and out of school.
Please join me in supporting PMF and making a difference in the lives of children through music education.
The Requiem will be sung on a constant loop for 24 hours and the event will be streamed online here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecrU_YVxI58.
Feel free to check it out to make sure I'm not cheating!
