Story
Every day in the UK, a baby is born who will develop mitochondrial disease. Around 10 million people live with conditions in which mitochondrial dysfunction is believed to play a part. These diseases are debilitating, there is currently no cure, and lives are often cut far too short.
The Lily Foundation is the UK’s leading charity dedicated to fighting mitochondrial disease. They support families affected by the condition, raise vital awareness, and fund research into better diagnosis, treatment, and ultimately a cure.
This year, I’m running the 2026 Bath Half Marathon for Team Lily to help push that mission forward. Your support — whether big or small — will directly contribute to improving lives and driving the research that so many families are counting on.
Help turn these miles into meaningful change.
