On Saturday 9th September 2023, we, Forest Oak Financial Planning ltd and friends, will be participating in The Great Ridge Walk, to help raise money and awareness for The Baton of Hope UK.

Welcome to the Biggest Suicide Prevention Initiative the UK has ever seen.

We couldn’t think of a more fitting place to raise awareness by bringing the Baton to Hope Valley.

We will climb the summits of Mam Tor, Back Tor and Lose Hill Pike, before arriving back at our starting point in Castleton.

We have chosen The Baton of Hope UK, because we have been completely inspired by the founder, Mike McCarthy’s efforts and devotion in campaigning for better mental health support , since losing his son, and our friend, Ross.

The Baton of Hope UK is partnering with our workplace charity, the SJP Foundation. The SJP Charitable Foundation is currently the 3rd largest corporate foundation in the UK, supporting hundreds of charities every year through our grant-making programmes.

All monies raised are then matched £1 for £1 by St. James’s Place plc, making their donations go twice as far.

By donating to this page, The Baton of Hope UK will receive the donation through the foundation, and the SJP Foundation will match it and will donate it to the thousands of charities they support.
