Jamie and I have two Autistic nonverbal kids. They are awesome little humans and total joys to be around. But we've had some pretty brutal challenges with getting the support they need. We (and a number of other parents with NeuroDivergent kids) have started a charity called STAND (Stronger Together for Autism and NeuroDivergence SC052228). Its purpose is to ensure all NeuroDivergent kids are included in their communities, their families are supported and they are empowered to fight for their rights and the rights of their kids. This is why I am running to fundraise for STAND (despite the fact that I really hate running, so please donate to force me to run). I know things are tough for a lot of people right now, however if you're in a position to donate we'd really appreciate the support.
