Alex, Pete and Luke's 15 Peaks Ultra Marathon for Breast Cancer Support Jersey

Alex Jones is raising money for Breast Cancer Support Jersey

The Welsh 3000s Challenge / 14 Peaks / 15 Peaks · 7 June 2025

We are a small group of volunteers working to raise awareness of breast cancer. We fund raise to support our help packages for anyone local going through treatment. Post surgery bras. Flights for a companion. Domestic help. Return to fitness classes. Post reconstruction tattooing. Purchase of items for the hospital specific to the Breast Cancer unit. Every penny raised stays in Jersey.

Story

On June 7th, Alex, Pete and Luke will take on an ultra marathon (over 50KM) in Snowdonia, summiting every mountain above 3,000 ft in Wales in less than 24 hours (The Welsh 3000s Challenge).

Despite never running more than a half marathon, they’ve decided to go for an ultra to raise money for an amazing cause: ABC Jersey.

This charity provides incredible care and support to women in Jersey diagnosed with breast cancer. A cause that is currently very close to their hearts having a family member experience a diagnosis recently.

If you can spare anything to motivate the lads, it will help them get through all 15 peaks!

ABC Jersey offers emotional, practical, and financial support to women in Jersey currently dealing with breast cancer.

Some examples include:

- Household support for up to six weeks after surgery

- Support groups and 1 to 1 care

- Funding for food vouchers and financial aid for wigs, beauty treatments and travel for companions for treatment in the UK

- Post-surgery bras and handmade support cushions

- Sponsorship of post-surgery fitness classes

Thank you so much!
