Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity. Our mission is to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders. These serious mental illnesses ruin and, too often, take lives. Our Helpline is available online or by phone for anyone suffering, as well as their family and friends.

Story

Between 11–12 September 2026, I’ll be taking on one of the toughest trekking challenges in the UK: the 24 Peaks Challenge in the Lake District, to raise money for the charity BEAT (Beat Eating Disorders). Over two intense days with Global Adventures, I’ll be climbing 24 peaks over 12’000 feet, covering long distances, steep ascents, and some of the most demanding terrain this country has to offer.

This isn’t just a physical challenge for me — it’s a deeply personal one.

An eating disorder affected my family for many years. It shaped our lives in ways that were hard to explain and even harder to navigate. Watching someone you love face something so isolating, frightening, and misunderstood leaves a mark that never fully fades. No family should have to face that journey alone.

That’s why I’m raising money for Beat Eating Disorders, the UK’s leading charity supporting anyone affected by an eating disorder. Beat provides vital helplines, online support, community programmes, and guidance for families who often feel lost and unsure where to turn. Their work genuinely changes lives — and often, it saves them.

By donating, you’ll be helping Beat to:

• Support individuals currently battling an eating disorder

• Provide guidance and hope to families like mine

• Train healthcare professionals to spot early signs

• Challenge stigma and promote understanding

• Make sure fewer people suffer in silence

The 24 Peaks Challenge will push me physically and mentally — long days, early starts, tired legs, and a lot of determination. But every step I take will be for a cause that means the world to me and my family.

If you can support me, no matter the amount, I would be incredibly grateful.

Your donation will help Beat continue their essential work and bring hope, support, and recovery to those who need it most.

Thank you so much for reading my story and for supporting both my challenge and this incredible charity.

Together, we can make a real difference 💜
