Sprint Triathlon in Lydney · 27 April 2025

We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We host a helpline for people affected by suicide, as well as vital online resources for anyone who needs them.

Story

As someone who's ran and cycled lots of events over the years, I've always spoken about doing a triathlon. So, I decided there was no better time than when I turn 30 in April.

I will be taking part in my first ever Sprint Triathlon in Lydney - swimming 400m, cycling 24km and running 5k - hopefully in around 1 hour 45 mins. My wonderful friend Loz will be doing the Olympic distance on the same day.

There's long winter of training ahead, so I want to start fundraising to stay motivated and share my training journey, and hopefully reach my target time (something which is far away just now)!

I will be racing to raise funds for Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), a brilliant charity to support people struggling with their mental health. Any donations however big or small will be greatly appreciated. The race is a week after my birthday, and this would be a perfect 30th gift if you're wondering what to buy me 😉

I'm looking forward to sharing my training journey with you, you can follow me on Instagram or on Strava.

A bit about CALM:

We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We’ve got loads of tools and resources to help people find the support they need, including a life-saving helpline for people who can’t see a way forward, have lost someone to suicide, or are worried about their friends or loved ones.

£12.20 is enough to fund one potentially life-saving call.
