Alex & Lisa's 10K for Race Against Dementia

Alex Solley is raising money for Race Against Dementia

Team: Team fundraising for Race Against Dementia

Alex Solley - Knockhill Limited Edition Helmet 2025

Founded by Sir Jackie Stewart OBE, Race Against Dementia funds breakthrough research to prevent and cure dementia, harnessing the power of Formula 1 to fast-track a dementia breakthrough.

Story

The team as a whole as always did a fantastic job raising money for Race Against Dementia all season & at Knockhill, but us drivers were given a separate task to see how far we can go. To raise money individually via our own event.

So for my side I am taking part in the 10K Race Against Dementia run around Silverstone circuit on the 23rd November. Now however much you can call me an athlete, running is a short lived task in my day to day life so this challenge isn’t going to be easy. To make it a bit more interesting there is a thought to take part in the run wearing a race suit, just to add to the challenge, as it is for charity! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Lisa Burton, who’s worked with me for the last few years will also be taking on the challenge, and for anyone that also knows Lisa, they will know how much she dislikes running too, but with her mum being diagnosed with Dementia 6 years ago, every step of the 10k whilst painful, will be worth it to raise money for RAD!
