Story
This is my first marathon and I'm definitely feeling a bit nervous! I’m thrilled to be taking on the challenge alongside my good friend and fellow doctor, Nick Waddell.
Alongside my clinical work as an ophthalmologist, I am deeply passionate about eye research and proudly work with the Vision Sciences Laboratory here in Southampton. Our research is made possible by the incredible support of the Gift of Sight charity, and I am fundraising on their behalf to help drive vital breakthroughs in vision science. Any support you can give would mean the world!
The University of Southampton Gift of Sight Appeal is dedicated to funding world-class research into the prevention and treatment of blindness. Sight-saving research studies include Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD), retinal diseases, corneal diseases and conditions which affect children's eyesight, including nystagmus, albinism and amblyopia. Ultimately, our aim is to beat blindness caused by devastating eye diseases, and we're really grateful for any help you can give.
Thank you.
