Story
Hi everyone,
In April 2026 I’ll be taking on the Brighton Marathon – my first time running this distance – and I’m using the challenge to raise money for Celia Hammond Animal Trust.
As all our friends know, our life revolves around our cats. Celia Hammond is where my wife and I adopted two of our four cats – Dice and Eenie – the latter of which was an urgent appeal with various medical conditions, but is also the cuddliest of the bunch and a little maniac. Celia also helped spay our fourth cat, Leia, and made sure her parents – who had been living on the streets – were taken in, cared for, and rehomed after I had been feeding them for two months. Our second cat Mocha is not from Celia (but I don't want her to feel left out!)
The work Celia Hammond does is incredible. From rescuing stray and abandoned animals, to providing vet care, essential neutering services, and finding loving homes, their staff and volunteers go above and beyond every single day. Without their dedication, so many cats would still be out on the streets without the chance of a better life.
Your donation, big or small, will help provide food, medical treatment, and a safe place for kitties in need, while supporting the people who make it all happen. Together we can help give more cats the same second chance Dice, Eenie, Leia’s parents – and so many others – have been given.
Thank you so much for your support and wish me luck for the 26.2 miles :)
