Story
I have been training over the winter to complete in a swimming event, 3.8km which is in San Jordi, Majorca on 26th May. Through the training I found out that swimming is about more than just the swim and stamina. It involves dealing with lots of chlorine being inflicted on your system, the water which is too cold for comfort in lakes and sea which has not yet warmed up after the winter, waves, currents, jelly fish and chafing.
There are so many causes which need funds but something which has always been close to my heart is the protection of wildlife all over the world which is why I have chosen to raise funds for the People’s Trust for Endangered Species Wildlife.
Wildlife is disappearing. In the UK almost two thirds of species have declined in the past 50 years, and a startling one in ten faces extinction. There’s nothing natural about this. It can be stopped. And everyone can play a part.
PTES has been standing up for wildlife for over 40 years. With the help of scientists, conservationists, landowners, government, we can all work to protect our delicately balanced ecosystem by bringing our most threatened species back from the brink.
If you would like to support me for this cause any donations no matter how little will help.
