I've committed to raise money to support Operation Homefront by registering as a Charity Bib for this event. This race will be uncharted territory for me, both literally and figuratively. I expect it to be incredibly difficult, but my struggle out on the course will be temporary.

When a service member deploys, they aren't the only one who serves. Their entire family serves alongside them.

As a veteran who deployed to Afghanistan, I know this sacrifice firsthand. While my focus was on the mission, my family was my anchor. My wife managed everything on the homefront, shouldering every challenge and sending care packages that were a lifeline—a tangible connection to the home and country I served. Her strength at home was what allowed me to do my job.

That commitment from our families is a constant, but their stability shouldn't be taken for granted. Recently, many military families have been navigating periods of profound uncertainty, facing unexpected financial burdens that are testing their incredible resilience. They are confronting hardships that are completely beyond their control, adding a silent battle to their daily lives.

This is where we can step in. Operation Homefront provides critical relief, financial assistance, and support to military families when they need it most. They stand in the gap, ensuring that a temporary crisis doesn't become a lifelong struggle for the families who have already given so much.
