For the first time in my life I have managed to secure a place in the 2025 London Marathon, this has always been a life ambition. As always my chosen charity is Accuro who I once volunteered for this charity working at the under 16's club, however at the time work commitments took over and instead I pledged that whenever i took on personal challenges I would raise money for them, which to date has seen me do marathons, triathlons and mountain trail running. In return of the charity place on the London marathon, Accuro have set a target of £2200.

I have seen at first hand what a positive effect donations have, from providing equipment, to funding well needed days out. Accuro aren't a hugely well known charity and they need all the support they can get. Knowing I am raising money for this charity will drive me on even further as I pound many miles.

Who are Accuro?

Accuro is a small charity making a big difference in West Essex. They support local children, young people and adults with disabilities by providing services that are fun, safe and inclusive. These services reduce social isolation and empower members by providing accessible social and leisure opportunities that allow members to develop life skills, gain confidence and self-esteem and make friends.

Accuro are proud of their portfolio of tailored services, run by trained, passionate and highly experienced professionals. Each service they deliver has been created after researching identified needs and following feedback from their stakeholders, allowing them to provide tailored responses. Both they and I consider the charity to be an outstanding provider in this field and strive to run projects that remain flexible, relevant and deliver positive measurable outcomes for their members and their families.
