Hello everyone!

I have been given an opportunity of a lifetime, to be able to run the 2027 London marathon!

I will be running for the Charity Headway Essex, who I have volunteered for in the past and done events with.

I got to know Headway through "yoga Dave" (as they all call him) from "FlexFitYoga" who invited me to come up with him to Colchester to help out with his session up at Headway on a Tuesday.

Through seeing all the different clients and personalities, I really enjoyed the sessions and kept turning up every week to help out and see everyone. Through this I felt that I grew a strong connection to all the clients, the staff and the charity itself.

Since working with them, I have wanted to be able to help out, turn up to events and support. Which I decided that i would help out when they got involved with the Colchester Castle Park Run a few months back now.

Over the Summer, I have had work commitments that have prevented me from being able to go up to Headway. But I have always had them in my mind.

I saw their Facebook post saying about they have a space available for the London Marathon to raise money for them. Within seconds of seeing the post, I sent the email over and said how I would love to have the opportunity to be able to raise money for such a remarkable charity.

Raising £2000 pounds is not an easy task by any means, but I have said that I am dedicated to do everything in my power to raise money for Headway, I could not think of a better charity to raise money for.

They are so good with all their clients, supporting all their different needs. They have built such a great community and with our help, they can support even more people, and their families lives.

Headway is not just about helping them, its also about giving them a safe space to go, get them doing activities theyve never done before, and showing that they are not alone with their struggles.

The truth is that nobody is ever prepared for the devastating after-effects of a brain injury. Whether caused by a fall, an infection, a road traffic accident or something else completely unexpected, a brain injury can change a person’s life, and the lives of those around them, forever.
