We strongly believe that raising awareness of pancreatic cancer and its signs and symptoms can save lives and the reason for the need to raise awareness to the general public, GP's and other medical institutes in Gibraltar. We continuously push all our efforts towards creating awareness through GHA channels and other avenues to key personnel and the general public.

Story

On the 16 July 2024 I am taking part in a ultra white coIler boxing event to raise money for charity. The charity I have chosen is pancreatic awareness. I have chosen this charity as it's very important to myself and my family as my father unfortunately passed away from pancreatic cancer back in 2017.

I was 17 at the time and it was a life changing moment for me, loosing my dad felt like apart of me was ripped away.

Pancreatic cancer needs more attention. It is often diagnosed late, but knowing the symptoms can lead to an earlier diagnosis and save lives.

Pancreatic cancer has been left behind. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers.

Sadly, for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case. Currently, more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. This is unacceptable.

But with your help we can drive progress and transform how we detect, diagnose, treat and care for people with pancreatic cancer, saving thousands of lives every year.
