From the 27th July 2025 I will be cycling roughly 3300 miles/5310 Km from my home on The Wirral, UK to Istanbul, Turkey. A journey which could take me up to 3 months to complete in which I will cycle through 16 countries. Through Central & Eastern Europe, into the Balkans and finally into Turkey where West meets East.

I will be using this journey as an opportunity to raise money for The Hive, a local OnSide Youth Zone that I have been volunteering at for nearly 4 years as a youth worker.

The Hive is located in Birkenhead, one of the UK's most deprived suburbs. The Youth Zone offers young people a place to meet friends as well as make new ones. It is an environment that offers all who enter its doors a safe and nurturing atmosphere, where young people can gain new opportunities and experiences.

Over the years, The Hive has had a huge impact on me personally. The staff and young people have always been warm, supportive and inspiring. I've seen how The Hive helps to transform lives - building confidence, happiness and a real sense of belonging in everyone who is a part of its community, including myself.

The Hive relies entirely on donations. Your support will help fund the vital services they provide, reach more young people across The Wirral and secure The Hives future for years to come.

The Power of Donations

£5 Can fund a year’s membership for a young person who would otherwise not be able to afford one.

£10 Can fund hot, tasty meals for ten young people during sessions in the Hive café

£25 Can buy new supplies such as fabric and paints for the art room giving young people the opportunity to get creative

£50 Can buy brand new equipment and supplies for the gym and sports hall to help encourage young people to try new activities and get active

Donate £100 and give a year to Remember!

£100 would cover the cost of an annual membership (usually £5) for one young person, giving them free access to sessions (50p each visit) and provide a hot meal every time they visit
