Story
Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support. I’m joining thousands of swimmers for one of Europe's biggest open water charity swimming events. It’s an epic 1.4-mile open water swim in the English channel, from Boscombe Pier to Bournemouth Pier.
My Dad and the boys’ grandpa was diagnosed with heart failure in 2008 and had fantastic treatment from a number of health professionals. Two doctors in particular, firstly at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital (Dr Resham Baruah) and then at The Royal Brompton Hospital (Dr Brian Halliday) were excellent in the treatment that they provided. Dad greatly appreciated all that they did for him and with that in mind we have continue to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
