London to Brighton Cycle Ride 2026 · 13 September 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

On the 13th of September 2026, we’re cycling 55 miles from London to Brighton to raise funds for The Purple Elephant Project. Every mile supports children and families who need it most. Please donate if you can!

Story

Most of you will know that I am no natural cyclist and that for me the 54 mile ride to Brighton will require me to train hard and push myself physically on the day. I am already having nightmares about Ditchling Beacon!

I have now been involved with The Purple Elephant Project (PEP) for over 9 months and can attest to the wonderful work they do in our local community.

Today, more children than ever are struggling emotionally, and 1 in 5 now have a mental health concern. That's equal to six children in every classroom. With NHS services under huge strain, long waiting lists for support and private therapy out of reach for most families, they have seen a huge increase in the need for their services.

PEP are helping bridge the gap in children's mental health support across South West London and believe that every child deserves the right to be heard, whatever their financial situation. They need vital funding more than ever, so I will be cycling the average life span of an elephant on September 13th, so that they can give more children the confidence, resilience and coping skills to transform their lives and reach their full potential.

Helping me reach my target of £1,000 will mean that together we can support one more child (and their family) through an entire therapy course and make an enormous difference to their future happiness and wellbeing.

So please dig deep, as I will have to on the day, to help me reach my target.

Many thanks to you all for your support xx

Update - thankyiou so much to all of you who have so generously made donations so far. As a result I’ve revised my target upwards 🤞
