As I turn 60 in 2026 it would only be natural for me to set myself the challenge to run my first marathon!

I'm doing the Edinburgh Marathon in support of Bowel Cancer UK, following Sandra's bowel cancer diagnosis last year. The great care and support we received during a very difficult time, made me feel it would be the right thing to give something back.

Bowel cancer UK provide targeted research, expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.

Both Sandra and I stand testament to this, in particular, the benefit of early diagnosis.
